Get into a relationship only when you are absolutely okay not being in a relationship. This is extremely counterintuitive advice, but it speaks to the core of how a healthy relationship works. A hallmark of a healthy relationship is when the two individuals are able to exist by themselves, and do not need another person. When you are looking out for a relationship you inherently need another person. This need is usually because there is personal dissatisfaction, and that is not an appropriate time to have another person in your life. A strong relationship is when the sum of parts is greater than the individual pieces, and that can only happen when each person adds value (not driven by need) to the other’s life rather than extracts value (driven by need).

Best relationship advice i ever got was "stay single"
The best I heard was "look at how they treat their mother". If they treat them well then they will with you.
